The Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI) has been supporting the industries in Lebanon and their progress by providing services to its members under several axes, one of them being the environment and sustainable development. The association has been involved in the conservation of the environment since 1992 and was an active member in several internationally funded projects that were executed in partnerships with several ministries: Environment, Industry, Economy and Trade etc.
The Environment & Energy Department was established at ALI premises in March 2009, aiming to support and raise awareness of the members on issues related to environment conservation, cleaner production, energy efficiency, and others. The department offers relevant information and technical assistance to members in order to engage in the emerging green economy by developing their products and production processes to become in accordance with sustainable development.
Mrs. Rana Tabcharani Saliba, the Head and Project Manager of the department, provides information regarding green projects, workshops, trainings, etc. which will keep the Lebanese industrialists members updated on all environmental activities, new technologies and best practices used in industries in order to maximize profits and minimize negative environmental impacts.
